ANTI–HERPES

RECOMMENDATION OF USE:
• supportively to stimulate immunity in cats during periods of
increased risk of herpesvirus symptoms (stress, reduced immunity,
weakness of the body, contact with strangers individuals),
• for kittens exposed to feline herpesvirus type1 infection,
• supplementing the diet with exogenous L–lysine.
Anti–Herpes is a product containing L–lysine – an amino acid necessary for cats, one that has a number of important functions in their
bodies.
L–lysine, either directly or as a component of many biologically
active compounds, affects the bone structure, the nervous system, the
circulatory system, cellular aging processes, and the immune system.
Increased lysine concentrations interfere with herpesvirus replication,
may reduce the severity of infection symptoms, and may reduce FHV–1
virus shedding.
Because L–lysine is involved in so many processes in the cat's body,
L–lysine deficiency may manifest non–specifically (anemia, moulting,
immunosuppression). The consequence of L–lysine deficiency in the diet
is, among others, muscle atrophy or disruption of protein biosynthesis.
