FLORActiv is a combination of nutrients whose synergistic effects support
proper nutrition of enterocytes, their regeneration, and restoration or
maintenance of adequate microflora in the gastrointestinal tract. Furthermore, the product boosts the immune system and protects against oxidative
stress during illness.
L–glutamine – an endogenous amino acid, a primary source of energy for
enterocytes. During illness ensures fast regeneration of the gastrointestinal tract
re–storing its functionality. Stimulates the synthesis of IgA (local immunity) and
the production of B and T lymphocytes (general immunity). Maximum absorption and utilization of glutamine by the epithelial cells takes place within a few
hours of damage. This amino acid promotes the absorption and utilization of
glucose and sodium ions from the intestinal lumen.
Inulin – a prebiotic, soluble dietary fibre, boasts a stimulating effect on the
growth of beneficial intestinal microflora, stimulates the proliferation of
Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Acid metabolites of beneficial microflora
reduce the growth of potentially pathogenic bacteria.
Oligofructose – soluble dietary fibre, beneficial for intestinal microflora and the
digestive tract. Effectively stimulates protection of the body against the development of pathogenic bacteria, while promoting the proliferation of beneficial
bacteria of the Bifidobacterium
